Get Up and Get Moving—Together
Staying home doesn’t have to mean staying idle. Our friends in health at the American Heart Association (AHA) put together great ideas to keep yourself and your family moving more anytime, anywhere. Remember, every time you stand up and do something, you’re taking a step in the right direction.
Game On!
Instead of video games and other screen time, schedule time for active games like Twister, charades and hide-and-seek. Other ideas? Create chore cards infused with movement, start a dance party with each family member taking turns as DJ, play with pets, or dig into your spring garden. Get inspired by more ideas from the AHA at the link below.
Note: Since everyone’s health history and nutritional needs are so different, please make sure that you talk with your doctor and a registered dietitian to get advice about the diet and exercise plan that‘s right for you.
