Grab the Greek Yogurt!
One of the most popular products in the grocery store, Greek yogurt is creamy, tangy, a little decadent, and definitely delicious. To top it off, it’s good for you. It’s packed with protein and is an excellent source of calcium, potassium, zinc, and B vitamins. So it’s no surprise Greek yogurt has become a breakfast favorite and an anytime snack.
But there’s another way to use Greek yogurt that most people don’t think about: It’s wonderful in recipes! Check out these three chef-created recipes.
Grilled Coconut Shrimp
Send your senses to the tropics with this recipe from our partners at Chobani. Coconut Greek yogurt, lime, fresh cilantro and other ingredients get whipped into both a dipping sauce and a marinade for the shrimp skewers before they’re grilled to perfection.
Yogurt Herb Ranch Dressing
Plain Greek yogurt gets a flavor makeover with lemon juice, garlic, white vinegar and chopped dill. Can’t find the vegan mayonnaise in the recipe? Substitute nonfat mayo—or go all-in on the nonfat yogurt for extra punch. It makes a great salad dressing or veggie dip.
Harissa Yogurt Chicken
Did you know that yogurt works as a great meat tenderizer while adding flavor? Here, chicken pieces are marinated in Greek yogurt, lemon, garlic and paprika before grilling or baking. And there’s also a sauce made with more creamy, cool yogurt and fiery harissa.
